Anomalous diffusion profiles of Ag in CdTe due to chemical self-diffusion.

چکیده
Anomalous diffusion profiles of Ag in single crystalline CdTe were observed using the radiotracer 111Ag. The diffusion anneals were performed at 800 K under Cd or Te vapor and in a vacuum for different Ag concentrations. The measured Ag profiles directly reflect the distribution of the self-interstitials and vacancies of the Cd sublattice and are the result of chemical self-diffusion which describes the variation of the deviation from stoichiometry of the binary crystal as a function of depth and time.

Drift-Diffusion of Highly Mobile Dopants in CdTe
The diffusion of Ag in CdTe exhibits anomalous concentration profiles, which essentially reflect the profile of the deviation from stoichiometry. At a diffusion temperature of about 800 K, the Ag dopant atoms are present as charged interstitials. The deviation from stoichiometry at diffusion temperature substantially changes upon an external source of Cd atoms. Such an external source can be re...

متن کاملCombined effect of hall current and chemical reaction on MHD flow through porous medium with heat generation past an impulsively started vertical plate with constant wall temperature and mass diffusion
Unsteady flow with magneto-hydrodynamics and heat generation through porous medium past an impulsively started vertical plate with constant wall temperature and mass diffusion is considered here. The effect studied is a combination of Hall current and chemical reaction. The motivation behind this study is the applications of such kind of problems in industry. In many industrial applications ele...

Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations were applied to calculate self-diffusion coefficients (Di ) and heats of adsorption for ethane, propane and n-butane. The simulations were done in temperature range of 300-525 K for various concentrations inside the pores of silicalite type zeolite. The calculated values of self-diffusion coefficients and heats of adsorption resulted from the current wo...
متن کاملThe Influence of Grain Boundary Diffusion on the Electro-Optical Properties of CdTe/CdS Solar Cells
We report on a study of the effects of diffusion of metals through polycyrstalline CdTe thin films. The metals Ni, Pd, Cu, Cr, and Te are deposited onto the back surface of 10-μm thick CdTe/CdS device structures using room-temperature evaporation. We found that four out of the five metals produce significant changes in the photoluminescence (PL) of the near-junction CdTe material. These changes...
